Experience of using masking fluid

Watercolor painting sometimes requires the use of masking fluid. Here are some experiences of my painting usage, which may be helpful for beginners:

1. Brand: I recommend using JOFOOK, which has good cost-effectiveness, excellent quality, and affordable price;

2. Pen: Never use your beloved pen, because using it once, no matter how strictly it is done according to regulations, will more or less damage the pen. Remember! However, if you draw details, a poor pen cannot handle this task, so it’s better to use a cheap but functional pen;

3. Water: Masking liquid can be used with water, but sometimes it is necessary to add water because it is too thick to write without adding it. The diluted liquid may have weaker coverage and may have local leaks. As long as you pay attention to inspection, it should be fine;

4. Soap: I think it is important to protect the pen. So you can use soap water, making the pen smoother to draw and greatly increasing the possibility of washing off any residue after use;

5. Pen washing: Do not linger for a moment when the pen is not in use. Immediately wash it with clean water and wash it carefully. At least this pen can serve you more times,

6. Pouring out: If the blank area is large, it is recommended to pour it out for use, which is more uniform, convenient for adding water. Shake well before pouring out;
7. Drawing: If the masking liquid is white, it is best to add a little light color, because when you are using masking fluid, there is nothing on the paper. In order to see clearly what you are drawing, it is necessary to use a little color;

8. Process: After applying masking fluid, be sure to wait for it to dry completely before starting drawing. If unsure, it is best to keep it first. When removing the masking fluid, be sure to check whether the watercolor artwork is completely dry. It is best to let the watercolor painting dry completely, otherwise it will ruins your painting work.
